I write because it makes me feel free. I can express myself in a way that I find easier and that others can relate to.

There once was a time when the world was a better place
I dream of living in that bittersweet world everyday
The darkness surrounds me covering up my face
Never to be seen again

I used to always hide away
Never knew the right thing to say to you
Cry alone hidden in the shadows
Oh how I have changed

That's not who I am anymore
I'm not the girl I used to be
I used to hide in the darkness
But now I rise to my feet
I'm a new girl look how I've changed
I face my fears not scared to look the other way
I've rised up out of the shadows
Finally show you, now you know who I am
